The WOR HOOSE Community Project really is here for everybody.
Our aim is to bring people together and help them make connections with each other.
We believe that this will create a stronger community where everyone feels included.

Being part of the our community hub
means you will make new friends,
have access to exclusive events,
feel better connected to your neighbourhood,
learn skills and have opportunities to experience something new, or take part in volunteering roles.

Termtime Accredited Training

On Tuesdays & Thursday's
We give out food parcels & toiletries to families in need.
We run a range of activities which promote better wellbeing such as our women's wellbeing group, mens pie club and young peoples
carer club.
We can also provide a safe, confidential space to talk through difficult issues, help you find peace of mind & give longer term help if its required.
workshops include:
cookery, computer sessions, local history, first aid and arts &crafts
If you need benefit advice, we can provide free, independent, confidential advice every Wednesday morning. Appointments required.
During the school holidays we run family fun sessions open to all ages to attend & have trips away.

Monday - Friday 9.30 - 3.00pm Drop in Winter Warm Hub Activities
Wednesday's Welfare Advice 1:1 sessions 10am onwards, send a message to book an appointment on WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger
On Wednesday 13th & 20th December community energy information drop in, come along & receive help on all things energy related 10am - 1pm
On Thursday 21st December 10am - 12noon call in for mince pies, a cuppa & find out what's on.
Also remember we can help you sort out housing, money, welfare & form filling, so come to see us!
The Newcastle Foodbank at St. Silas Church, Byker is open 1pm - 3pm on Wednesdays (7th, 14th, 21st & 28th December)
