The WOR HOOSE Community Project really is here for everybody.
Our aim is to bring people together and help them make connections with each other.
We believe that this will create a stronger community where everyone feels included.

Being part of the our community hub
means you will make new friends,
have access to exclusive events,
feel better connected to your neighbourhood,
learn skills and have opportunities to experience something new, or take part in volunteering roles.

Coffee Morning Stay & Chat Drop-In's,
Computer & WIFI access
Welfare Advice
Information Sharing
Housing & Tenant Support
Termtime Accredited Training
Parenting & family sessions

Ask us @worhoose & we will try our best to help.
On Mondays we give out food parcels & toiletries to families in need.
We also in partnership with others, we offer a range of help and advice to improve your health and wellbeing, to create a happier local community.

If you need benefit advice, we can provide free, independent, confidential advice every Wednesday morning. Appointments required.
During the school holidays we run family fun sessions open to all ages to attend & have trips away.

Wednesday:
10am - 1pm Welfare Advice (1:1) Appointments only text us on Facebook or Messenger, or call in beforehand.
1pm - 2pm Hardship Support
Thursday:
10am - 11am Money & Savings Club
11am - 12.30 Volunteering Activities
1pm - 3pm PC access, job searches, advice & digital support.
Friday:
5pm - 7pm Out on Your Street Neighbourhood News & Information Sharing Sessions - see our monthly timetable to see which street we are at, & on what date :-)
We are friendly & here to help with loads of stuff, call in or message us.
Local Foodbanks:
Walker & District Trussell Trust Foodbank at City of God Centre, Church Walk every Thursday 11am - 1.30pm
The Newcastle Foodbank at St. Silas Church, Byker is open Thursdays 2-3.30pm, everyone welcome.
